A favourite for it's flavour! Use in cakes, cookies, muffins and pastry. See our Einkorn recipes here.

Flourist Whole Grain Einkorn Flour
is milled from organically grown Einkorn wheat grown in the Swan River Valley of Manitoba. This flour contains 100% of the original grain and is rich in fibre and flavour. Use it in cookies and muffins and any recipe that calls for a softer flour.

Important details:
Grain type: Organic Einkorn
Application: Muffins, Cookies, Cakes
Origin: Swan River Valley, MB
Farmer: Lorne Muller
Extraction Rate: 100%
Protein: 14%

Einkorn wheat was one of the first plants to be domesticated and cultivated. It is soft and crushes easily, resulting in a pillowy soft flour that is perfect for cakes, cookies, and loaves. We have opted for a 100% whole grain version since the bran mills down to be almost undetectable in the finished flour.

Sinclair River Farms is a third-generation farm run by Lorne & Monica Muller. Over the past 15 years, Lorne and Monica have paid great attention to their soil health, with a focus on regenerative farming. Regenerative farming is a practice aimed at continually improving the quality of the soil, rather than just maintaining it.

Our hand-crafted Austrian stone mill slowly and gently crushes grain at a low temperature, a process that produces beautiful, aromatic, nutritious and delicious flour. The product bears little resemblance to the typical, highly processed shelf stable flour found on grocery store shelves. You’ll notice the difference right away: the colour is natural and the aroma is unmistakable.

We recommend storing our fresh flours in the fridge or freezer to maintain freshness. New to our flour or looking for more resources? Read our Beginner's Guide to Flourist Flour here.

Einkorn Flour

This was my first order with The Flourist and they have been wonderful to deal with. I had never worked with Einkorn flour and we were given a good recipe. We love the tast and texture. Highly recommend this company. They really care.

Great Flour

Einkorn produces some excellent nutty and somewhat sweet flavours in breads and cookies. Combining it with spelt flour has yielded some tasty results.

organic whole grain einkorn flour. AND. French lentils

I have only used the flour for pancakes so far. Good!Making a cobbler this weekend with it. What I did have, as a gift, were the French lentils. Those were incredible. I had never steamed lentils before and I will always from now on. I made the salad and now it I my favourite. My dinner guests all asked for the recipe. I was wondering what to do with the water that I steamed the lentils with. It takes on a rich tea brown colour. For use?

Something new

Thank you for the einkorn flour it is very easy to work with and very tasty. I am taking an online baking course with George Brown college. I enquired from Chef Thor what rustic bread could be baked with this flour. I found the bread to be dense, and smelled wonderful baking. I will buy again! Judith

The flour was really whole as there were bits of shells, but very few. The smell is ever so fresh. It makes excellent bread, even sourdough bread. The packaging was good the package arriving in excellent order.
