Flourist Whole Grain Red Fife Flour
is milled from organically grown Red Fife wheat from Vonda, Saskatchewan. This flour contains 100% of the original grain, and is rich in fibre and flavour. Use it in cookies, muffins and any recipe that calls for whole wheat flour. You can also supplement sifted flours to add a whole grain flavour and nutrition boost. 

Red Fife wheat mills beautifully and lends a robust, rich earthy flavour to breads.

What a difference!

Your flours have made an incredible difference to my baking. As a first time user, I tested two favourite few-ingredient recipes to let the flour shine, and it certainly did. With the sifted red spring wheat I made apple crumble (flour, butter, sugar, apples) and with the whole grain red fife I made rusks (flour, raising agent, butter, buttermilk, eggs, sugar). The taste and texture of both are amazing. Thank you for your great products.

Red Fife

The flavour and quality of this flour, and everything else I've used from flourist has been stupendous. My whole grain sourdough bakes have never been better, thank you.

Traditional flavour

I love to use heritage varieties of wheat like this. I tend to use Red Fife for flavour in combination with Red Spring, which adds a lovely feel to the dough.

Wonderful flour

I find that my bread dough is softer with this flour than with, say, Spring Wheat, so I take that into account. I made the sponge cake (for the strawberry shortcake recipe) which uses both the sifted and whole grain red fife flours. I wondered how a whole grain flour would work in a sponge cake, but it performs so beautifully that it's now my go-to sponge recipe. I get absolutely great results with all Flourist flours.
