Organic Whole Grain Marquis Wheat Flour
Organic Whole Grain Marquis Wheat Flour. 2KG Bag. Always freshly milled. Use anywhere whole grain flours are called for.
Marquis Wheat is a close relative to Red Fife but this crop is higher in protein and makes for exceptional bread baking. It was the bread wheat of choice in the early 1900's.
Marquis blends the strength and performance of our Sifted Red Spring with the deep flavour of Red Fife. It also is lower in the allergenic component of gluten than modern wheats, which means it performs very well in bread baking but is easier for people with gluten sensitivity to digest.

I wanted to bake bread but bought the wrong flour. It is not made for bread machines. So I mixed half of regular flour w this flour and it was fine but texture of bread tastes like gluten free bread. It’s still alright but I wish it was labeled more prominently as near gluten free. I am waiting for Flourist to come up w flour specifically made for bread machine.

Oh my Marquis!
This flour has made some of the most delicious, moist, full flavoured sourdough EVER! Love it. The texture is amazing, the taste is almost as nutty and full flavoured as me! I did about 3/4 quarters whole grain and 1/4 sifted. LOVE IT!

I love this flour. I used to it to make whole grain sourdough and the taste and texture were delicious! Also made pizza dough and it was our best yet. This is my new go-to.

Great Flavour
Awesome! I loved the flavor of this wheat, will definitely order again. Just wish it came as wheat kernels so I could grind my own at home.
