Rye flour
This is a great rye flour; I started ordering Flourist flours in 2019, and this is one of my favourites. Sourdough starter loves this flour, and grows rapidly after feeding. I use this in breads, simple cakes, and cookies, and have even concocted my own recipe for sourdough discard cookies that turned out very well. Great quality and freshness.

Love the extra flavour that this adds
I usually use the rye flour in a mix with sifted and whole grain red spring from my seedy bread. Ran out of the rye, so just used the others, and my husband really noticed something missing. I will be adding it back from now on. Love the extra flavour dimension that this adds.

I'm located in the province of Québec. I LOVE Flourist's flours. Their flat shipping cost is unique amongst Mill's. I have tried 6 other rye flour in quebec (including Bulk Barn which isn't really local...) and all of them have a drier and less absorbant rye flour. Plus, My starter rises at least a good 15% to 25% more with Flourist's Rye Flour. I know there is a science explaining all of this and I'll let you figure it out. I love it!
