Easy 10 Minute Bean Hash

Easy 10 Minute Bean Hash

Make this meal with any cooked beans you have on hand,  an onion and some chopped carrots. It's proof that delicious, nourishing food doesn't need to be fussy. Served with a side of fresh greens, a slice of bread and some pickles, it's a full meal that's ready in 10 minutes.

Easy 10 Minute Bean Hash
1/2 medium onion (red, yellow, or white)
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup cooked Flourist Navy Beans (or any cooked bean)
1/4 cup fresh parsley
salt and black pepper to taste

To cook, heat a sauté pan or wok to medium heat and add the olive oil. add the chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes or until the onion starts to sweat. Add the carrots and cook for 3-4 more minutes.

Add the cooked beans, parsley,  salt, and black pepper and cook until hot, a further 2-3 minutes. Serve hot with a side of fresh greens, feta, toast, and olives. Serves 1 for a full meal or 2 as a side.

Storage Tips for Cooked Beans
Once the Navy Beans are cooked, we recommend to store them in the refrigerator covered in cold water. Navy Beans will keep for up to 5 days stored this way. We recommend to rinse the beans and replace the cold water every few days if you are storing them for more than 2-3 days.
