Bakery Orders FAQ


Welcome to the Bakery Orders FAQ, and thank you for your support of our free local delivery and pick-up options! Since the launch of this new way of operating, there have been many questions. Here is a list to help guide you. 

Are you still offering regular online shipping to the USA + Canada? 
Yes, you bet! Nothing has changed with our regular online store. To order through this method, shop as you would in all of our collections pages, except for the Bakery Orders section.

But you're sold out for shipping orders too! What do I do?
Head here for the latest on our flour inventory. 

How is 'Bakery Orders' different from the rest of your online store? 
All orders received through our online store are processed at our South Vancouver warehouse and shipped via Canada Post or UPS. You can still order this way if you are local to Vancouver, however your order will go in the queue for production and shipping via our third party carriers. 

All items ordered through Bakery Orders (including flour) are processed at our Mill + Bakery for expedited fulfillment the next day via free local delivery or pick-up. 

Why is flour selling out so quickly on Bakery Orders? 
We can only offer 1 bag of flour per order when ordering for free delivery or pick-up, due to limited capacity. If you wish to order more than 1 at a time, please go through our regular online channel and have it shipped. 

What if I order more than 1 bag on a Bakery Orders order? 
We will cancel any extra flour that goes over the 1 bag limit. This is so more customers can access the flour every day. Thank you in advance! 

I cannot checkout because it says my phone number is invalid! Help? 
This is an unfortunate technical glitch on the platform we are using. Simply de-select the 'Save My Info' checkbox on the top left corner of the form. You will be able to easily checkout! 

Where do I select pick-up or delivery? 
This step is at the bottom of your shopping cart, or at the pop-up window when you first visit. 

I can't seem to bypass the $12 shipping charge, what am I doing wrong? 
You are in the regular online store. Head to SHOP > BAKERY  ORDERS to order. 

You are sold out of what I want today! When will you have more? 
Inventory is reset daily at 9AM. Check at 9AM every day to see what we have that day! 

Why does it say you aren't accepting orders? 
Orders are accepted between 9AM-3PM daily through Bakery Orders.

When can I pick-up? 
All orders are for the next day. Pick-up hours are 10AM-5PM at 3433  Commercial Street. 

Is pick-up contactless? 
Yes! Please call the number on the door upon arrival. We will find your order and place it outside on the table. Please maintain a 2 meter distance from our other customers if there are multiple people waiting. 

When are you delivering? 
Deliveries are done between 10AM-5PM. Please do not choose this option if you will not be home to accept during this window. 

My delivery is not here at the time specified! Are you running behind?
All deliveries are done between 10AM-5PM. Unfortunately there is a setting in the platform we are using which indicates a smaller window of time on your invoice. We cannot guarantee a delivery time. Please disregard this. Thank you!  

What areas are you delivering to? 
For now, we can only offer delivery within Vancouver City limits. Please watch our Instagram for any updates to this or subscribe to our newsletter.

Do I need to be home to accept delivery? 
Yes please! Unless you have a porch we can leave your order on, you will need to be home to come out and get your order. Deliveries are contactless so our driver will call you to come and receive it curbside. 

What if I am not there when the driver comes? 
If you are unable to accept your delivery, it will be returned to the Mill + Bakery for pick-up. You will receive an email once it arrives. 

I accidentally ordered and you don't deliver to my area. Can I get a refund? 
Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate cancellations during this time. Any orders placed for delivery outside of Vancouver city limits will be categorized as pick-up (we'll email you to let you know!). If you are not able to pick-up, the order will remain at the Mill + Bakery for an extra day to allow time. After that time, the order will be donated to the Portland Hotel Society. 

Do you like when customers leave you notes? 
1000 times yes! We can't express enough how much joy we get from reading your sweet notes. They truly are a bright light in our day! We love this community and want you to know we feel the love. Thank you all!
