Our Sifted Red Spring Wheat Flour is the best for baking delicious sourdough and no-knead bread, or for use in any recipe that calls for All-Purpose Flour. My experienc began when I visited your Commercial Dr. store with my daughter who swears by your flours. I can see why. Living in Calgary, ordering online is my only option. The flours arrived safely. quickly. The packaging is gorgeous and the end results are amazing! Thanks so much.
Love to see the heritage grains being traceable. This flour is elite and makes your average flours look like the snicklefritz. Next up is homemade pasta with the red fife
Love this flour! I loved every part of my experience using this flour: from mixing to the taste of my baked bread. Thank you so much for such a wonderful product!
The flours arrived in perfect condition and I can't wait to use them! I'm new to Flourist and I'm wondering if you have any suggestions on how to best experience the taste of the different flours? I'm a homecook and I know that if I want to understand how something tastes (e.g. the different kinds of apples at my grocery store) to line them up and have a bite of each comparing them to one another. I could do that with the raw flour but I don't prefer it. Do you have any suggestions of how I could easily conduct taste tests with the flours without having to consume raw flour or make 3 different batches of cookies?
Hi Xian! We have found pancakes to be a really great way to compare the flavours of the flours!
So far I’ve opened the Rye flour and and made the chocolate chip cookie recipe with it to good effect. I’m trying the no need recipe today so will know more tomorrow. I’ll open the other two within the week to make a challah recipe I enjoy. So there it is.
